Mar de Montanhas is a boutique hotel located at Lavras Novas, a mountain village at Minas Gerais (Brazil). The identity of Mar de Montanhas is based on the unique landscape that can be seen from the hotel.
The project started with the creation of its name, which means sea of mountains. It is a poetic wordplay that potentiates the hotel's distinctive feature. Then a pattern of lines gave a more modern flavour, to contrast with the rustic architecture of the hotel.
